Gastroenteritis Epidemic
Gastroenteritis is spreading in subdivision Chikar rapidly after a long drought.
According to Chikar Media Service, many villages around Chikar are infected by epidemic. Two deaths have been confirmed so far, and hundreds are seeking medical help.
RHC (Rural Health Centre) Chikar is full of its capacity. People rush to DHQ (District Headquarter Hospital) Hattian Bala or CMH (Combined Militory Hospital) as well as AIMS (Abbas Institure of Medical Sciences) Muzaffarabad. Private doctors are also consulted.
Health Department is conducting medical camps in villages to treat the people suffering from infection.
